Named Accountable GP

All patients (including children) have been allocated a Named Accountable GP, as required under the GMS Contract.

Please ask at reception should you wish to know who your Named Accountable GP is.

You can continue to see any Doctor or Nurse of your choice and your clinical care will not be affected.

Friends & Family Test

Please make use of the Friends & Family Test survey, to leave feedback on your experience of the practice. To complete the survey - go to Friends & Family Test link under the Have your say section (to the right of the screen).

From 1st April 2018 the practice will no longer be

accepting telephone orders for medications.

Please be aware that as from the 1st October 2019 certain medications for minor health conditions such as hayfever, insect bites, sunburn and head lice will no longer be available on prescription. To find out more, visit


The NHS have been instructed that all fax machines must be decommissioned by April 2020.  As of 30.11.19 Dr Counsell & Partners will no longer have a fax line

Please note when booking an appointment with the doctor it is for a routine appointment only. This does not include coil fittings, double appointments or steroid injections. If you require an appointment for any of these please ring the practice and we will be more than willing to book you an appointment.


We run an appointment system to keep your waiting time as short as possible. To book please telephone or call at the surgery during opening hours. 

For non-urgent matters you may have to wait a day or so at busy times to see the doctor of your choice. If you have an urgent problem, please inform the receptionist who will make an appointment for you.

Please make one appointment for each person wishing to be seen. If you require an interpreter please make a double appointment at reception stating the language is required.

Telephone Advice

If you only need telephone advice from your doctor you can book a telephone consultation with reception.


If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
